HVAC Technician – Installation, Maintenance & Repair

About the role

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems across commercial and industrial facilities. You will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team to ensure reliable, safe, and energy‑efficient indoor environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, split units, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, and exhaust systems.
• Install, inspect, and test new HVAC equipment and components to verify performance and safety compliance.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults and execute precise repairs.
• Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Monitor system performance and energy efficiency, recommending upgrades when needed.
• Maintain accurate service logs, checklists, and maintenance reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, occupational health policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist with inventory tracking and procurement of spare parts and specialised tools.
• Collaborate with other engineering and maintenance staff on cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Certified technical diploma, vocational degree, or equivalent HVAC/R trade certification.
• Proven experience as an HVAC Technician on commercial/industrial systems.
• Physically fit to handle heavy tools, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
