Hygiene Officer

About the role

The Hygiene Officer is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with local regulations, HACCP, and Accor standards. This role involves conducting regular inspections, implementing hygiene training programs, and supporting all hotel departments in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for guests and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HACCP principles, ensuring all food safety protocols are adhered to.
• Conduct routine hygiene audits and inspections in all F&B outlets, kitchens, and storage areas.
• Monitor food handling practices, personal hygiene of staff, and cleanliness of equipment.
• Develop and deliver food safety and hygiene training sessions for relevant employees.
• Oversee sanitation procedures and coordinate with external pest control providers.
• Investigate hygiene-related complaints, take corrective action, and report non‑compliance to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality.
• HACCP certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of local and international food safety standards.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
