Informatica Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Informatica Big Data Management (BDM) and Apache Spark. The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data integration pipelines that support both batch and near‑real‑time processing across our enterprise data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Informatica BDM.
• Create and optimise large‑scale processing workflows with Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Build robust ETL/ELT processes for batch and near‑real‑time data loads.
• Develop Informatica mappings, workflows, transformations and reusable components.
• Work with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS and Hive.
• Write and tune Spark jobs for structured and semi‑structured data.
• Troubleshoot performance, data‑quality and production issues.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts and engineering teams to implement solutions.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, error handling and monitoring.
• Participate in deployment, production support and release activities.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, ETL or big‑data technologies.
• Strong expertise with Informatica Big Data Management.
• Proficient in Apache Spark; PySpark experience highly preferred.
• Solid SQL skills and experience optimising queries.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, Hive).
• Good knowledge of Python or Scala for data processing.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Experience using Git for version control.
