International Tax Advisory Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

EY is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join its International Tax & Transaction Services (ITTS) practice in Bahrain. You will advise clients on regional and international tax implications, covering areas such as permanent establishment, double taxation, cross‑border treaties and tax structuring.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of technically complex international tax engagements, ensuring high‑quality client service.
• Support directors and partners in generating new business by building and maintaining client relationships.
• Manage leads and opportunities from other tax areas and the wider EY network.
• Contribute to practice development through internal training, precedent creation, presentations and publication of expert articles.

Required profile

• Client‑driven mindset with strong commercial and strategic awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate project teams.
• Solid technical knowledge of international tax laws and codes across jurisdictions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field, plus a professional qualification (ADIT, ATT, ACCA, CPA, CA, LLB) or a relevant Master’s degree.
• 6+ years of client‑facing international tax advisory experience, with exposure to inbound and outbound investments.
• Proven managerial, organisational and project‑management abilities, including mentoring junior staff.
• Advanced knowledge or specialization in a specific area of international tax.
• Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
