IT Support Officer

About the role

The IT Support Officer provides technical assistance to end‑users and ensures the smooth operation of hardware, software and network services across the organisation. This position acts as the first point of contact for troubleshooting, incident resolution and routine technology maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support requests covering computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripheral equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, networking and user accounts.
• Install, configure and maintain hardware and software, including system updates and security patches.
• Document incidents, track tickets and ensure resolution within service standards.
• Assist with software deployments, system upgrades and infrastructure projects.
• Promote cybersecurity best practices and help maintain secure user environments.
