IT Support Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, customer‑focused IT Support Officer to join our team. In this entry‑level position you will provide first‑line technical assistance, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software and network services for all users.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level support for hardware, software, network and system issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and resolve support tickets promptly.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, email access and system permissions.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and other productivity tools.
• Monitor IT systems, perform routine maintenance, updates and backups.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions and IT assets.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when needed.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work independently.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Relevant IT qualification, certification or prior technical‑support experience is a plus.
