About the role

The British School of Bahrain (BSB), part of Inspired Education, is an international school in Bahrain offering a British education to students aged 3-18, with IGCSE, A-Level and BTEC qualifications. It is seeking expressions of interest from Teachers of Mathematics for an August 2027 start.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum, policies and external assessment requirements, differentiating learning for each student.
• Assess students' in-class and at-home learning regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress.
• Create a positive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported and ready to take risks.
• Share best practice with colleagues, collaborate with them and pursue your own professional development.
• Take an active part in co-curricular activities, from leading clubs to whole-school initiatives.
• Maintain open, constructive communication with parents to build strong partnerships.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject, plus a PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent.
• Experience teaching the British curriculum up to GCSE and A-level is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure (or equivalent) and a commitment to the welfare of children.
• High expectations for all students, openness to learning and a proven track record.

Required skills

• Confidence using ICT in teaching.
