Teacher of Science (August 2027 Start)

About the role

The British School of Bahrain, part of Inspired Education, is an international school in Bahrain offering a British education to students aged 3-18, with IGCSE, A-Level and BTEC qualifications. It is seeking expressions of interest from teachers of science for an August 2027 start.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that match the school's curriculum, policies and assessment requirements
• Assess students regularly and give targeted feedback to drive progress
• Create a positive, supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and ready to take risks
• Share best practice with colleagues and pursue your own professional development
• Take an active part in co-curricular activities, from leading clubs to whole-school initiatives
• Maintain open communication with parents to build strong partnerships

Required profile

• Degree in the subject taught or a closely related subject, plus a PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent
• At least two years of post-qualification teaching experience
• Enhanced DBS or equivalent disclosure and a commitment to the welfare of children
• Experience teaching the British curriculum up to GCSE and A-level is highly desirable
