LC Desk Senior Officer

About the role

The LC Desk Senior Officer will oversee the processing of trade finance transactions, ensuring strict compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international standards. This senior position requires a proactive approach to customer service, risk management, and operational efficiency within the bank's trade finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with trade finance policies, regulations, AML/ATF rules, and sanctions updates.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers, responding promptly to queries and advising on trade finance products.
• Update and archive records, release documents to customers, and follow up on discrepancies.
• Coordinate daily pending issues related to legal approval, compliance clearance, KYC, facility documents, and commissions.
• Process trade services transactions in line with corporate banking policies and international regulations.
• Recover all applicable charges and reconcile daily payments and accounts.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Letter of Credit operations (UCP 600).
• Understanding of International Guarantees rules (e.g., URDG 758).
• Familiarity with trade finance documentation, AML/ATF compliance, and sanctions screening.
