Legal Counsel

About the role

Al Salam Advocates is seeking a full‑time Legal Counsel to join its Manama office. You will provide timely, practical legal advice across litigation, corporate and commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance, supporting the firm’s high‑value client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver legal advice on a broad range of matters, including litigation, corporate and commercial transactions, and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks for clients.
• Conduct legal research, prepare opinions, memoranda, and support dispute‑resolution and arbitration proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with partners and team members, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to technology‑enabled legal processes.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in law with proven experience in litigation, corporate/commercial matters, and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); admission to practice law in Bahrain or a recognized jurisdiction is preferred.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• High integrity, professional ethics, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
