Manager / Senior Manager - Technology Consulting, Banking

About the role

EY's Technology Consulting practice is looking for an experienced Manager to lead and support major banking transformation engagements in Bahrain. The role covers core banking modernization, digital banking, enterprise architecture, technology strategy and business-driven technology change, working with senior client stakeholders, business and technology leaders, delivery partners and regulators. It is supported by EY's global Financial Services network.

Key responsibilities

• Advise banking clients on technology strategy, digital transformation, operating model improvement and modernization; define target-state architectures and support investment decisions and vendor evaluation.
• Manage workstreams in core banking transformation, including migration, testing, deployment, cutover and data migration, and oversee data migration and systems integration.
• Lead or manage digital banking initiatives, advise on Open Banking, APIs, embedded finance and AI, automation, cloud and data, and define innovation roadmaps.
• Manage complex multi-vendor, multi-stakeholder engagements, set up program governance, PMO routines, executive reporting and steering committee materials, and control scope, budget, risks and quality.
• Build relationships with senior executives, contribute to proposals, solution design, client presentations and commercial negotiations, and identify follow-on opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop consulting teams, support performance management and mentoring, and champion EY values.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, business information systems, finance, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience, including substantial experience in financial services, technology consulting, banking technology or digital transformation.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale banking technology transformation programs and managing senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to be based in Bahrain and travel within the region.

Required skills

• Experience with core banking platforms, digital banking ecosystems, enterprise architecture or technology strategy engagements.
• Ideally: knowledge of core banking platforms such as Temenos Transact (T24), Infosys Finacle, Oracle Banking, Mambu, exposure to cloud, AI, automation, cybersecurity and Open Banking, and certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• A postgraduate degree or MBA is an advantage.
