Medical Director (Part-time, Hybrid)

About the role

The Medical Director will work part‑time in a hybrid setting based in the Capital Governorate of Bahrain. This senior position oversees medical strategy and clinical governance for initiatives that blend health, wellness, and creator‑economy activities, ensuring all programming meets high clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and advise on health‑related content, providing guidance on medical policies, protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align offerings with patient and community health standards.
• Coordinate with physicians and subject‑matter experts, contribute to educational materials, and represent medical expertise in meetings and events.
• Monitor medical developments, support risk assessments, and advise on ethical and regulatory considerations for health‑focused projects.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with appropriate licensure; board certification in a relevant specialty is an asset.
• Strong foundation in general medicine and expertise in cardiology, neurology, and oncology.
• Proven experience in medical leadership or directorship roles, including oversight of clinical programs or health‑related content.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex medical concepts to non‑medical stakeholders and a commitment to ethical practice, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
