National Customer Service Associate / Sales Executive - Retail

About the role

Al-Futtaim, a diversified regional business group representing over 200 brands including Marks & Spencer, is hiring a National Customer Service Associate / Sales Executive for its retail business in Bahrain. The associate delivers exceptional service to customers, maintains store standards, manages inventory and assists with sales. Success is measured by customer satisfaction, sales performance and the organisation and cleanliness of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide a high level of service and assist with their needs
• Address basic customer complaints and escalate issues as needed
• Maintain the store according to visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean
• Help receive new shipments, restock the store and manage inventory so it stays fully stocked
• Recommend products to customers, focusing on upselling and cross-selling, and stay up to date on product information
• Operate the cash register, process transactions and follow payment-handling policies, keeping the checkout area clean and organised

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer-facing roles, especially in retail, focused on excellent service
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to recommend products and engage in upselling and cross-selling
• Experience operating cash registers and following cash-handling procedures
• Proven ability to work well within a team to achieve store goals
