Placement Officer

About the role

The Placement Officer for Consumer Lines will manage the end‑to‑end placement process for retail insurance products such as Motor, Home, Travel and other consumer lines. Acting as the key link between telesales, insurers and internal operations, the role ensures accurate, timely issuance and renewal of policies while maintaining compliance with underwriting and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review lead submissions from telesales, obtain and compare quotations from approved insurers, and negotiate terms, premiums and conditions.
• Confirm placements, prepare cover confirmations and ensure policy documents are issued correctly and on time.
• Process new business, renewals, endorsements and cancellations in the broker management system, reviewing schedules and certificates for accuracy.
• Coordinate with insurers to resolve discrepancies, maintain up‑to‑date transaction records and support compliance with PDPL, CBB and company data procedures.
• Manage renewal cycles, obtain quotations 45 days before expiry, compare terms and track renewals to avoid coverage lapses.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurer underwriting and operations teams, track performance metrics and provide market feedback for product development.
• Ensure all placements follow company policies, support internal audits, and suggest workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Insurance, Business or a related field).

• Experience with CRM systems.
• Experience with ERP systems.
