Pool Technician – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Pool Technician is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and maintaining all pool‑related and facility equipment. This role combines hands‑on technical work with excellent guest service in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical‑room devices, and pool systems, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC filters, lighting, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑related inventory, and perform landscaping and sprinkler maintenance.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures, safety policies, and company security standards.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced hospitality setting.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.

Required skills

• Air‑conditioning and refrigeration knowledge.
• Electrical and mechanical systems troubleshooting.
• Plumbing repair (toilet plunging, drain unclogging).
• Pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry basics.
• Painting, drywall, and wood‑trim repair.
• Landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills for equipment scheduling and temperature adjustments.
