Press Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Press Officer to lead our media relations and support external communication initiatives. Working remotely from Bahrain, you will be the primary liaison for journalists and help shape the organization’s public image through strategic messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and distribute press releases, media statements and other communication materials.
• Serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries, interview requests and briefing coordination.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, media outlets and industry stakeholders.
• Organise media briefings, press conferences, interviews and public appearances.
• Monitor media coverage, track industry news and prepare regular coverage reports.
• Support the creation and execution of public‑relations and media‑engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent external messaging.
• Assist with reputation management and crisis‑communication activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, journalism or corporate communications.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard communication tools.
