Quality Control Officer – Food Production

About the role

Early Riser is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer to join its on‑site team in Hidd, Muharraq. You will safeguard the quality, safety, and consistency of handcrafted granolas and nut butters, ensuring every batch meets the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials against company specifications before production begins.
• Monitor quality throughout mixing, baking, filling, and packaging stages.
• Conduct routine checks on product appearance, texture, taste, weight, and packaging integrity.
• Verify compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food‑safety standards.
• Identify defects, non‑conformities, and production issues, recording results accurately.
• Collaborate with production staff to address quality concerns promptly.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across all production lines.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of quality control and assurance in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with HACCP or similar food‑safety systems (highly desirable).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inspections and documentation.
• Analytical mindset to spot trends and issues in production quality.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork with production and management.
• Experience in food manufacturing, confectionery, bakery, or related environments is preferred.
• Basic laboratory or sampling experience is an advantage.
