Regional Reinsurance Executive

About the role

The Regional Reinsurance Executive will support GIG Gulf’s reinsurance operations across its Middle East markets. Reporting to senior reinsurance leadership, the role handles both treaty and facultative activities, ensuring accurate premium, claim and balance management while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and administer quota‑share and excess‑of‑loss (XoL) treaty arrangements with reinsurers.
• Prepare statistical data for treaty negotiations and finalize both proportional and non‑proportional agreements.
• Calculate property facilities premiums and claims, and manage reinsurance bordereaux.
• Reconcile reinsurance balances on a regular basis.
• Produce monthly and quarterly reports for the group and external reinsurers.
• Liaise with internal auditors on reinsurance items and coordinate payment processes with the finance team.
• Review facultative placement slips, negotiate terms, issue closing documents and ensure compliance with group standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in treaty and facultative reinsurance.
• Strong analytical ability to prepare statistics, calculate premiums and reconcile balances.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with reinsurers, auditors and internal finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, actuarial science, insurance or a related field.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of treaty and facultative reinsurance processes.
• Proficiency in reinsurance bordereaux management and balance reconciliation.
• Experience with premium and claim calculations for property facilities.
