Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of retail fit‑out and installation projects for joinery and interior solutions. Reporting to senior leadership, the role requires independent handling of projects from kickoff through handover, ensuring quality, timeline and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments, fit‑out teams and, when needed, general contractors to align scope and schedule.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, photograph sites, identify loading zones and communicate critical dimensions to the Setting Out Manager.
• Perform on‑site setting‑out and marking of joinery equipment, and resolve technical queries from clients or contractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, monitor progress and generate daily/weekly reports with photos.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Maintain daily communication with fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Observe installations, report required adjustments to equipment and support continuous improvement of fit‑out processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing or interior fit‑out projects.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Self‑driven, highly responsible and capable of working independently.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Team‑player who can identify strengths and weaknesses and drive measurable improvements.
