Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and handover of retail fit‑out and joinery installation projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you will coordinate internal teams, external contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments and appointed fit‑out teams, aligning scope, timeline, and expectations.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and photography; identify loading zones and provide critical dimensions to the Setting Out Manager.
• Perform on‑site setting out/marking of joinery equipment when required and resolve technical queries from clients or contractors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Projects, generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos, and monitor milestones.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks independently to meet deadlines.
• Maintain continuous communication with fit‑out teams, factory personnel, and client representatives, escalating discrepancies for rapid resolution.
• Observe installations, report adjustments needed for equipment, and support continuous improvement of processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing or interior fit‑out projects.
• Proven leadership ability with a self‑driven, high‑responsibility mindset.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, able to coordinate internal and external parties effectively.
• Team‑player who can identify strengths and weaknesses and drive measurable improvements.

Required skills

• MS Projects (Microsoft Project) for schedule planning and tracking.
