Room Attendant

About the role

The Room Attendant reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. This role ensures a welcoming and pleasant environment for all guests by delivering exceptional service and meticulous attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to hotel/brand standards.
• Complete all pre‑cleaning duties, including setting up guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for the housekeeping cart.
• Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed where applicable.
• Restock the housekeeping cleaning cart for the next day’s use.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Clean rooms with the door closed according to standards unless a guest requests otherwise.
• Report missing items (e.g., irons, hair dryers) to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle lost‑and‑found items according to established standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• At least 1‑2 years of experience in a similar housekeeping role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Effective time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Efficient service delivery.
• Professional attitude with flexibility and reliability.
• “Can‑do” attitude and excellent grooming standards.
