Safety Manager (HSE) – Lead HSE Activities

About the role

The Safety Manager (HSE) will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across multiple EPC and construction projects. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure compliance with client requirements, local regulations and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all HSE activities across diverse projects.
• Develop, implement and maintain the company’s HSE Management System.
• Prepare and review HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements and emergency response plans.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) systems and ensure safe work practices.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety awareness programmes.
• Manage Safety Officers and promote a strong safety culture.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
• Prepare HSE reports, KPIs and management presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
• NEBOSH IGC (mandatory); NEBOSH Diploma and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor preferred.
• Minimum 10 years HSE experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in industrial construction, EPC, shutdown and maintenance projects.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and ISO 45001.
• Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) system expertise.
• Risk Assessment techniques (JSA/HIRA).
• Incident investigation and corrective action implementation.
• Working at Height, Confined Space Entry, Lifting Operations, Scaffolding, Excavation, LOTO and general construction safety.
