Sales Cashier (4‑month contract)

About the role

Salhoof, a Bahrain‑based toy retailer, is looking for a Sales Cashier for a four‑month on‑site contract in Jurdab. You will be the front‑line point of contact, handling transactions and supporting customers in a child‑friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process point‑of‑sale transactions: scan items, accept cash and card payments, issue receipts, and maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Greet customers, answer product questions, and assist with toy selection.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with promotional items.
• Restock nearby shelves, price‑tag merchandise, and support promotional displays.
• Report any cash discrepancies or customer concerns to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with the store team to meet daily sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong cash‑handling and basic math skills with high accuracy.
• Excellent customer service attitude: clear communication, patience, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting small boxes.
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Basic proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS (point‑of‑sale) systems.
• Comfort with basic digital tools and willingness to learn new retail technology.
