Secondary Drama Teacher

About the role

The school is a British School Overseas in Bahrain, delivering the British National Curriculum alongside Bahrain Ministry of Education requirements. We are seeking a passionate Secondary Drama Teacher to inspire creativity and intellectual growth in our secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess drama lessons for secondary year groups in line with the British curriculum.
• Integrate Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies requirements where appropriate.
• Mentor newly qualified and early‑career teachers, supporting their professional development.
• Contribute to the school’s house system and extracurricular drama activities.
• Maintain a positive, nurturing classroom environment that reflects family values and school ethos.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at secondary level.
• Experience with the British curriculum preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
