Secondary English Teacher

About the role

The school follows a classic British model and delivers the British National Curriculum alongside Bahrain Ministry of Education requirements. As a Secondary English Teacher you will inspire students aged 11‑16, deliver engaging lessons and contribute to a nurturing, family‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess English lessons in line with the British National Curriculum and local regulations.
• Integrate Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies components where required.
• Mentor and support newly qualified or early‑career teachers.
• Participate in the school’s house system and extra‑curricular activities.
• Collaborate with senior staff to maintain high teaching standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at secondary level.
• Experience with the British curriculum preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the British National Curriculum for English.
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet Bahrain Ministry of Education guidelines.
• Mentoring and coaching skills for supporting junior staff.
