Secondary History Teacher – British Curriculum

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Secondary History Teacher to join our British‑style school in Bahrain. You will deliver the British National Curriculum alongside the Bahrain Ministry of Education requirements, fostering a nurturing and academically rigorous environment for our senior pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons for secondary students, aligning with both the British curriculum and local Arabic, Islamic, and Social Studies mandates.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to the school’s house system and extracurricular activities.
• Mentor newly qualified teachers and support their professional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold the school’s values of family, warmth, and academic excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or History.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at secondary level.
• Familiarity with the British curriculum preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring young learners.
