Secondary School Counselor – British Curriculum

About the role

We are seeking a Secondary School Counselor to join our British‑curriculum school in Bahrain. The role combines student support with staff mentorship, ensuring a nurturing environment that aligns with both the British National Curriculum and Bahrain Ministry of Education requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and counseling to secondary‑school students, promoting academic and personal development.
• Mentor and support teaching staff, especially newly qualified and early‑career teachers from the UK.
• Assist in implementing the British curriculum and integrating Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies components.
• Collaborate with school leadership to maintain a positive, family‑oriented atmosphere.
• Participate in the school house system activities to foster teamwork and school spirit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at the relevant grade level.
• Passion for inspiring young people and nurturing their creativity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
