Senior Auditor - External Audit

About the role

Grant Thornton Abdulaal is looking for a highly motivated Senior Auditor to lead external audit engagements for a diverse client base in Bahrain. You will be responsible for ensuring audit quality, building client relationships, and supporting the development of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and addressing concerns.
• Review and analyse financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and communicate potential risks or issues to the audit team and clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional growth.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards.
• Participate in business development activities such as networking and proposal writing.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects and tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• CA/ACCA or a related qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of audit & assurance experience, preferably in a reputable public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting software.
