Senior Auditor - External Audit

About the role

Grant Thornton is hiring a Senior Auditor for its external audit practice in Seef, Bahrain. This is a full-time position leading and managing external audit engagements, with responsibility for client relationships, mentoring and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution and completion
• Build strong client relationships, provide excellent customer service and address client concerns
• Review and analyse financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness
• Identify and communicate potential risks and issues to the audit team and clients
• Train and mentor junior staff and stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards
• Take part in business development, including networking and proposal writing
• Help with ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by senior management

Required profile

• CA/ACCA or a related qualification
• At least 5 years of experience in audit and assurance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and manage several engagements at once

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
