Senior Civil Engineer – Hangar Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead hangar construction projects in Manama, Bahrain. The role covers the full project lifecycle from foundation works through steel fabrication, erection, roofing, cladding, MEP coordination and final handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hangar projects from design review to construction completion.
• Oversee foundation works, anchor bolts, base plates and concrete works.
• Supervise structural steel fabrication, alignment, bolting and welding.
• Coordinate roofing, cladding, insulation, drainage and architectural finishes.
• Lead MEP system integration and resolve coordination issues.
• Control quality, lifting operations and construction sequencing.
• Review structural and shop drawings, technical submittals and method statements.
• Manage subcontractors and site activities on a daily basis.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience delivering hangar projects from foundation to handover.
• Proven experience with large‑span steel structures used in hangars.
• Hands‑on expertise in steel fabrication, erection, alignment, bolting and welding.
• Strong background in foundation engineering, concrete works and structural interfaces.
• Experience coordinating roofing, cladding, insulation, drainage, architectural works and MEP systems.
• Previous construction experience in the GCC and willingness to relocate to Bahrain.
