Senior Engineer – Digital Solutions (APC / Optimization)

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Digital Solutions initiatives focused on Advanced Process Control (APC), Multivariable Control (MVC), Real‑Time Optimization (RTO) and related technologies. The role will support sales opportunities, ensure high‑quality proposals and deliver technical expertise across the APC/optimization domain.

Key responsibilities

• Design and define APC solution architecture for Digital Solutions proposals, including controller strategy, constraint handling and MV/CV pairing.
• Develop end‑to‑end proposal content: technical write‑ups, compliance checks, licensing and implementation methodology for APC scope.
• Articulate business value propositions such as throughput uplift, energy reduction, quality improvement and constraint management.
• Prepare costing, sizing and effort estimates for APC/MVC engineering, required infrastructure, software licensing and renewals.
• Provide continuous technical and commercial support for ongoing and new Digital Solutions opportunities.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Yokogawa APC product PACE or equivalent APC platforms.
• Strong background in process control, optimization and digital twin technologies.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into clear business benefits for customers.
• Experience supporting sales teams on complex engineering proposals.
