Senior Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Senior Internal Audit Manager will lead the full audit cycle across financial, operational and information systems processes, ensuring effectiveness, financial reliability and regulatory compliance. This role combines strategic risk management with hands‑on audit execution within a telecom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end audits for financial, operational and IS processes in line with the annual audit plan.
• Analyse departmental financial requirements, prepare and monitor the budget, and report deviations.
• Design detailed audit programmes, evaluate risk controls, and anticipate potential issues.
• Collaborate with business units to identify and implement controls that mitigate operational risks.
• Gather audit evidence, assess findings, and prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable risk‑mitigation plans.
• Maintain audit documentation, including working papers and meeting minutes.
• Follow up with business units to ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Prepare presentations for senior leadership and highlight best practices and process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information technology, engineering or related field.
• Mandatory certification: CIA, CISA or CISM (or equivalent).
• Enrolment in additional professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CFA is desirable.
• 5‑8 years of relevant experience, including 2‑4 years of post‑qualification experience in internal or external audit.
