Senior SCADA Engineer

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to join its global team and support projects across the Algeria region. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and commissioning SCADA systems that meet customer requirements while contributing to the company’s mission of sustainable industrial innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and control project engineering and software documentation, ensuring revisions, quality checks, and transmittals are accurate.
• Develop SCADA databases, graphics, alarming, and reports according to project specifications.
• Implement RTU logic based on control narratives and perform software application engineering design.
• Assist in system integration, testing (pre‑FAT/FAT/IFAT), and on‑site commissioning.
• Collaborate with project team members, identify risks, and communicate with lead engineers and managers.
• Track scope deviations, BOM variations, and manage engineering team man‑hours effectively.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech. in Instrumentation or Control Systems Engineering.
• 6‑9+ years of relevant SCADA experience in the Algeria region.
• Strong understanding of project standards, schedules, and quality plans.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and technical teams.

Required skills

• SCADA domain expertise for Oil/Gas, Water Transmission, Pipeline & Utilities.
• Telemetry & PLC systems programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Serial, Modbus, DNP3, HART, OPC 2.0, IEC 61850, Profibus, Profinet, Foundation Fieldbus.
• Familiarity with transmitters, control valves, temperature/pressure/flow devices, positioners, UV/Heat/Gas/Flame sensors, isolators.
