Setting Out Manager

About the role

The Setting Out Manager will coordinate internal and external clients and lead the setting‑out team to ensure smooth project manufacturing, on‑time delivery and client satisfaction while balancing quality and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end setting‑out process, from site surveys and material take‑off to shop‑drawing development and cutting‑list issuance.
• Manage project schedules, client expectations and the approval of shop drawings and procurement plans.
• Coordinate with production, procurement and site teams to secure materials, resolve RFIs and handle variations.
• Prepare project status reports, forward‑plan cutting‑list releases and ensure timely manufacturing start‑up.
• Interpret contractual requirements and drive continuous improvement in process efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in joinery or construction.
• Proven track record in all phases of setting out, including site surveys, shop‑drawing preparation, material ordering and loading‑line planning.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing procedures and common joinery materials such as timber, boards, veneers and laminates.
