Shop Manager – Retail Store

About the role

The Shop Manager will lead the daily operations of an Adidas retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets and maintaining brand standards. This role combines inventory oversight, staff leadership and financial management to drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Detect and report on customer needs, market trends and competitor activity.
• Greet customers, address inquiries and complaints, and foster loyalty.
• Maintain up‑to‑date store licences, certificates and employee documentation in line with local regulations.
• Oversee receiving, inventory counts, stock movements, transfers, damaged goods handling and shrinkage control.
• Analyse sales performance (hourly, daily, weekly), monitor top‑selling items and manage collection rotation and replenishment.
• Place accurate orders, meet stock performance objectives and maximise sell‑out.
• Prepare staff schedules based on budgeted hours, traffic, sales targets and operational needs.
• Log commercial and operational information on internal platforms promptly.
• Manage the annual budget, monitor expenditures and report variances.
• Ensure the shop’s visual presentation complies with Adidas brand standards, including cleanliness and display maintenance.
• Produce reports on KPIs, sales trends, inventory levels and team productivity.
• Recruit, train, motivate and evaluate the store team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail store management or similar supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, budgeting and sales analysis.
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a team to achieve performance targets.
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements for licences and employee documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
