Telephone Operator – Front Office

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated Telephone Operator to join our front‑office team. You will be the first point of contact for guests calling the hotel, delivering professional and courteous service that enhances their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Answer every guest call in a friendly, professional manner and greet callers by name.
• Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Handle guest queries, take messages, and exceed expectations with polite and courteous responses.
• Manage long‑distance call vouchers, traffic sheets, and wake‑up call schedules accurately.
• Operate the switchboard efficiently, transferring internal and external calls quickly.
• Keep up‑to‑date knowledge of hotel facilities, local services, and guest profiles via the Opera system.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar front‑office or telephone operator role.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication with strong voice modulation.
• Customer‑focused, proactive, and able to work well under pressure.
• Team player comfortable in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Opera property‑management system.
• Computer literacy (MS Office, email, internet).
