Vice President – Trade Finance

About the role

The Vice President of Trade Finance will originate and manage trade and structured commodity finance transactions across two pillars: Financial Institutions and short‑term commodity finance for traders and national oil companies. The role combines business development, credit risk ownership, and portfolio monitoring in a fast‑moving MENA‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and execute LC confirmations, guarantees, FI credit limits, and short‑term bilateral or syndicated working‑capital facilities.
• Build and maintain client relationships with banks, commodity traders, NOCs, and IOCs across MENA and Africa.
• Lead the full credit process: risk assessment, application drafting, committee presentation, and ongoing portfolio reviews.
• Coordinate with Trade Finance Operations to ensure seamless deal execution and documentation.
• Provide market intelligence on trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategy.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, business planning, and product development initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in trade finance and commodity finance, preferably within the MENA region.
• Strong network with banks, traders, NOCs, and IOCs.
• Hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate independently.
• Proven track record of originating and managing complex financing structures.
