Forklift Operator

About the role

Harsco Environmental is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our steel processing and environmental services team. You will be responsible for safely moving, loading, and storing a variety of steel products in a high‑volume industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate multiple forklift types (2‑ton to 30‑ton) to transport coils, billets, sheets, beams, pipes and other oversized steel items.
• Perform daily equipment inspections, report faults and coordinate maintenance.
• Ensure proper stacking, storage and handling to prevent damage and maintain safety standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet material movement targets.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of forklift experience in a heavy‑industrial or steel manufacturing setting.
• Valid forklift operator license/certification for multiple forklift types.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
