Accountant – Luxury Retail (Manama)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Accountant to join Alfardan Jewellers in Manama. The role is on‑site and focuses on managing the day‑to‑day accounting activities of a luxury jewellery retailer, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Support inventory‑related financial records specific to jewellery products.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with management and other departments on budgeting, financial insights and audit support.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA is a plus.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash in a retail or product‑based environment.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including spreadsheets, pivot tables and basic data analysis.
