Assistant Category Manager

About the role

We’re looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join the team and focus on growing our own grocery store “tMart”, the region’s first cloud‑store concept offering 30‑minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. The service operates across Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, Oman and Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the growth of the tMart grocery category by developing and managing product assortments.
• Lead cross‑functional projects and collaborate with senior executives, warehouse teams and customer service to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor category performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure product availability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple product categories for large FMCG retailers in an international setting.
• Proven ability to build teams, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions under pressure.
• Willingness to work on the warehouse floor or handle customer calls when needed.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a hands‑on approach to tools.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
