Assistant Outlet Manager – Obab Al Bahar Restaurant

About the role

The Assistant Outlet Manager will support the Outlet Manager in delivering an elegant dining experience at Obab Al Bahar Restaurant, part of Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain. This role ensures high service standards, efficient operations, and a welcoming atmosphere for guests throughout all meal periods.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an elegantly appointed environment with superior staff for all dining periods.
• Maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests.
• Manage the outlet effectively, including reservations, seating, and service techniques.
• Anticipate material and supply needs and ensure their availability.
• Control usage of food, beverage items, and service equipment.
• Monitor physical facilities and equipment, recommending improvements as needed.
• Prepare colleague schedules while controlling labour costs and overtime.
• Communicate with the Outlet Manager, Chef, and Food & Beverage Director on menus, marketing strategies, and guest feedback.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
• Forecast covers and revenues and schedule accordingly.
• Develop colleagues for future advancement.

Required profile

• Hotel school degree, diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of food and beverage experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role within a 5‑star international environment.
• Experience in a multicultural setting.
• Knowledge of the Micros Point of Sale system.
• Arabic speaking candidate is essential.
• Training skills such as Train‑the‑Trainer and up‑selling, plus HACCP certification.
