Assistant Swimming Coach – World Aquatics Training Centre

About the role

The World Aquatics Training Centre in Bahrain is expanding its swimming and diving scholarship programme and seeks a passionate Assistant Swimming Coach. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will support daily training, athlete development, and programme administration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and delivering daily training sessions for scholarship swimmers.
• Collaborate on the Annual Performance Plan, track swimmer progress, and provide performance reports.
• Educate athletes and coaches on anti‑doping practices and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions with clear demonstrations.
• Support event and competition coordination, including travel logistics.
• Maintain accurate athlete records, training logs, and performance documentation.
• Provide regular updates on swimmer well‑being and progress to the Head Coach.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a swimming coach, preferably with elite or high‑performance athletes.
• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, athlete development, and training methodologies.
• Experience in structured athlete development programmes.
• Familiarity with anti‑doping policies and a commitment to clean sport.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
