Associate Director of Reserve

About the role

AX Coin, the first licensed stablecoin issuer regulated by the Central Bank of Bahrain, is looking for an Associate Director of Reserve. The role will design, operate, and oversee the banking, settlement, liquidity, and payment infrastructure that supports the stablecoin issuance and payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage strategic relationships with custodian banks and partner financial institutions to ensure secure and efficient reserve custody accounts.
• Ensure reserve assets comply with Chapter 6 of the CBB SIO Module, maintaining ratings, maturities, and currencies, and verify 1:1 integrity of reserve assets daily.
• Design and execute liquidity management and stress‑testing frameworks to support real‑time minting and redemption demands.
• Operate a yield‑bearing stablecoin model within legal and compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate monthly or quarterly Proof of Reserves audits and maintain strict segregation of reserve assets from corporate funds.
• Lead the design, integration, and maintenance of fiat on‑ramp and off‑ramp channels and manage settlement account connections.
• Define fiat clearing and settlement mechanisms for minting and redemption processes.
• Establish three‑party reconciliation among fund flows, asset flows, and on‑chain data, acting as primary contact for banking and payment partners.
• Support regional expansion of banking and payment capabilities across EMEA.
• Collaborate with compliance, product, and operations teams to align payment processes.
