Behavioral Therapist / Special Education

About the role

REACH Behavior and Development Center, a new Bahrain-based multidisciplinary center for autism and other developmental disorders founded by a BCBA, is looking for a motivated and energetic ABA therapist. The role provides overall behavioral support to clients and staff, with BCBA supervision available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall behavioral support to clients and staff, following the Behavior Support Plan (BSP) and being available to train staff.
• Assist with direct monitoring, assessment, intervention and behavioral strategies, including proactive strategies, antecedent and consequence strategies and replacement behaviors.
• Follow each student's schedule of services.
• Maintain effective communication with other technicians, therapists and the CEO, and seek their input.
• Take part in staff training on implementing individual behavioral support plans and related data collection.
• Help with crisis response for individuals showing harmful behaviors.
• Assist senior therapists and the Executive Director with case management and discharge planning.
• Maintain client confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related human services field.
• Experience or strong desire to work with children with special needs.
• Valid CPR certification.
