Business Analyst – Digital Banking Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support digital transformation initiatives at a leading Islamic bank in Bahrain. The role will focus on improving customer experience across mobile and internet banking channels while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements for digital banking projects.
• Analyse customer journeys and propose enhancements for mobile and internet banking platforms.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Work closely with UX/UI teams to ensure customer‑centric design.
• Support AI banking initiatives by identifying use cases and data requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Maintain product, project, and test documentation aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (Master’s/MBA a plus).
• 3–5 years of hands‑on Business Analyst experience, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of banking, especially digital and internet banking products.

Required skills

• Experience with databases and database management tools.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic exposure to programming languages.
