Complex Director of Revenue Management

About the role

The Complex Director of Revenue Management balances the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximise total revenues and profit from guest rooms. The position is accountable for pricing, positioning and inventory of all hotels in its area of responsibility, and works closely with hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees and owners.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse period-end and other systems data to identify trends, future needs and obstacles, and generate reports and presentations on transient booking patterns.
• Assist with account diagnostics, maintain accurate reservation system information and check distribution channels regularly.
• Analyse weekly and monthly STAR information to review past strategies, identify competitor strengths and develop strategies to capture market share, and help build RevPAR Index forecasts.
• Generate the yearly room revenue budget and provide input to property leaders on market sales strategy.
• Implement and evaluate revenue tests, ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are adapted to market conditions, and recommend improvements to revenue management processes.
• Communicate brand initiatives, demand and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners and owners, and keep internal stakeholders informed.

Required profile

• A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing or a related field.
• Or a 4-year bachelor's degree in one of those fields, with no work experience required.
