Director Employee Relations MENA

About the role

The Director Employee Relations MENA will lead labour‑relations, human‑rights and HR‑compliance initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa. Reporting to regional leadership, you will shape and implement an employee‑relations strategy that supports business goals while fostering a fair, inclusive and respectful workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all MENA countries adhere to DHL Employee Relations standards.
• Develop and execute short‑ and medium‑term employee‑relations strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate reporting on labour‑relations, human‑rights and compliance topics for regional and global audiences.
• Align regional issues with Global Employee Relations and drive implementation of global projects.
• Advise managers and HR on best practices for handling employee‑relations matters, including dispute mitigation.
• Monitor political and legal developments affecting labour relations and provide early risk notifications.
• Manage relationships with trade unions, particularly in Bahrain, and support collective‑labour‑agreement negotiations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in labour relations, human‑rights and HR compliance within a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across functions.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on risk management.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
