Electrical Foreman

About the role

The Electrical Foreman leads a team of electricians and technicians in installing, maintaining, testing and commissioning electrical systems, ensuring work is safe, efficient and meets project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electricians and technicians on site.
• Assign work tasks and manage manpower to meet project schedules.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Monitor installation works including cable laying, termination, panel and lighting system installation.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, project requirements and electrical standards.
• Inspect completed work, identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and other trades for smooth execution.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Maintain daily progress records, manpower allocation and material usage.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma, ITI or Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• At least 2 years experience in a foreman or team leader role.
• Experience with construction, infrastructure, commercial, industrial or street lighting projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents.
