Senior Draftsman

About the role

Responsible for preparing and coordinating accurate technical drawings for civil and structural projects using CAD software, supporting project requirements from design through construction and as‑built documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete working plans, sections, elevations, charts, scale drawings and revisions using CAD software.
• Assist in setting‑out layouts, prepare as‑built drawings and shop drawings for ongoing projects.
• Extract quantities and areas from drawings to support the quantity surveying team.
• Coordinate with site teams, clients, consultants and line managers, and supervise junior draftsmen.
• Maintain document control procedures, electronic archives and prepare Bar Bending Schedules.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a draughtsman qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of architectural, civil and structural drafting practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation and Civil 3D.
• Ability to prepare shop drawings, as‑built drawings and proposal drawings for tender submissions.
• Experience performing quantity and area take‑offs from drawings.
