Street Light Works Supervisor

About the role

The Electrician Supervisor leads on‑site electrical teams to deliver safe, efficient installation, maintenance and repair of street lighting and related systems. The role ensures compliance with drawings, specifications, company standards and local regulations while meeting project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electricians and technicians, assigning daily tasks and monitoring productivity.
• Provide technical guidance, on‑the‑job training and performance evaluations.
• Oversee installation of power distribution, lighting, cable laying, control panels and electrical equipment.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Verify that all work complies with project drawings, specifications and applicable electrical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all activities follow safety regulations and company HSE policies.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to confirm quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other disciplines for smooth execution.
• Monitor project schedules, report progress and manage material, tool and manpower availability.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical installation and maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, distribution panels and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
